Beyond the Basics: Harnessing the Power of Webhooks in the Sapio Sciences LIMS / ELN Platform

Increasingly, scientists expect real-time integration with multiple data sources such as (but not limited to) instrumentation, raw data, environmental monitoring systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES) process analytical technologies (PAT), and various data pipelines.

Webhooks are a way for one application to provide real-time information to another application about events that occur. The webhook sends an automated message from an application when a specific event happens, delivering real-time information to a designated URL. This allows different applications to communicate and react to events without the need for constant polling.
