Brady Introduces IDXPERT Handheld Labeler and Wraptor Wire ID Printer Applicator

Brady Corporation has introduced two new products offering cutting-edge capabilities for a wide variety of identification applications: its most versatile hand-held labeler ever, the IDXPERT(TM) Handheld Labeler; and Wraptor(TM) ID Printer Applicator which combines a wire identification printer and applicator into one unit.

The IDXPERT label printer is uniquely designed to meet the specific identification needs of electrical, voice/data, maintenance and safety experts. The hand-held unit comes in two convenient keyboard layouts and offers more than 100 options for wrapping, flagging, sleeving, overlaminating and other labeling on demand. Features include a wide range of available print sizes; more than 80 built-in industrial/commercial symbols; Drop, Lock & Go “Smart” Cartridges which are pre-calibrated electronically to orient the label to the end-user’s specifications; memory which can store frequently used set-ups; and edge-to-edge printing on continuous tapes to eliminate label waste.

The Wraptor(TM) wire identification printer/applicator increases efficiency and productivity by printing and applying labels in five seconds on average compared to manual procedures for wire and cable identification taking up to ten times longer. The 300 dpi printhead and durable thermal-transfer print technology combine to create easily readable, high quality text, bar codes and logos. The unit automatically adjusts to wrap wires, bundles and square jackets in a wide range of diameters.

“Brady’s investment in research and development is part of our strategy for continued growth,” said Brady President and Chief Executive Officer Frank M. Jaehnert. “We believe that the IDXPERT printer and the Wraptor printer/applicator are just the latest examples of Brady’s commitment to meet the complex needs of our customers with innovative proprietary products.”
