Robust Chemical Inventory System Incorporates Microsoft’s SQL Database and Adds New Functionality

Fairfield, California, March 28, 2007 – ChemSW, Inc. has released CISPro Client/Server, the newest version of their industry-standard database software for tracking chemicals and other laboratory supplies. CISPro Client/Server not only puts the impressive power and robust functionality of CISPro onto user’s desktops, but also leverages the strengths of Microsoft’s SQL Server runtime version which delivers a larger maximum database size and improved performance over previous generation software.

By upgrading CISPro to Client/Server, we have been able to add significant new functionality as well.”

CISPro Client/Server runs on all current SQL Server runtime versions, which are simplified versions of SQL Server — perfect for a smaller workgroup needing the reliability of SQL Server without the overhead. Using SQL Server runtime versions allows ChemSW to leverage their many years of Enterprise-class inventory management with SQL Server, bringing enterprise level features and reliability to the workgroup.

• Eliminates need to have multiple windows open for different vendor catalogs

Enhanced Security & Control:

• New, upgraded security module for optimum configurability of permissions levels
• Container security by Department or container Owner
• Security now available on Ordering module
• Over a dozen new configuration options added to personalize CISPro

Enhanced Container Tracking:

• Track History of container movement
• Two additional tabs added for container details
• Container properties to further customize CISPro
• Dispose of missing containers not found in scan
• Batch operations for container transfer of location or ownership
• Split container to dispense from parent container to child containers (aliquots)
• En masse operations – change container owners and locations quickly and easily

Ease of Use:

• MSDS management, now consolidated to one application
• Vendor and Location forms now searchable
• Filtering of the chemicals list
• Ribm optimized: programmed mode now displays on videx and is automatically selected on upload
• Ribm drop down menu added to toolbar for most commonly performed tasks
• Configurability of custom Location barcode labels

Easier to Set Up and Propagate:

• BDE is eliminated
• Minimal workstation configuration (no BDE, no mapped drive letter)
• UNC is supported
• Import data directly from ODBC data sources

Leverage Existing Hardware:

• CISPro Client/Server can use existing barcode scanners and selected thermal label printers
