Chemtech opens Corporate University

“Education cannot simply be considered important; it has to be a priority”.  With this comment UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) professes the importance of education.  Bearing that in mind Chemtech has just opened the Chemtech Corporate University.

Since it was established, the company has been organizing in-company courses and stimulating the participation of interns, technical, administrative, and operational employees in training opportunities, conferences, and seminars.  The company also grants financial help for post-graduation, MBA’s, master’s and doctor’s degrees.  This help also comprises technical courses, language courses, behavioral, and managerial courses.

Chemtech has currently decided to join all its investments in professional education in a Corporate University, a major trend among companies that wish to link even further the apprenticeship programs to the strategic goals and results, and offer a competitive advantage to the companies.  As a result, and as it was already done before, many of the training courses are being offered to the public in general at the Corporate University.

“The Corporate University is a successful instrument that provides people with qualification to act in their professional environments, apart from offering a motivating factor that ensures the quality of services in companies, enabling them to achieve the planned objectives”, declares Simone Menezes in an article disclosed by ABT (Brazilian Educational Technology Association).

The schoolroom is placed in the very company that offers physical space for courses, provides all the necessary resources, and also offers correspondence training that takes place at Chemtech by means of the EAD, a correspondence education website created by the company to provide learning opportunities in addition to the attendance courses.

The Corporate University is officially opened at Chemtech and has already started to present some results.  The in-company MBA in Project Management starts today, and it is exclusively for employees.  From October 9 to 11, there will be an Emergency Shutdown Systems Project Training open to the outside public.  According to the Corporate University program, there will be courses taking place every single week.

Chemtech believes in constant training and development to enable its employees perform their every-day activities and be ready to face new challenges.
