Client Laboratory Operations Leader
ACCUMEN INC.
Client Laboratory Operations Leader
The Company
Accumen’s mission is to partner with health systems to deliver lab excellence through sustainable improvements in cost, quality, service and outreach growth opportunities. Accumen is working to become the largest and most successful business revolutionizing healthcare by optimizing and modernizing the $65 Billion hospital lab industry. With strong multi-year anchor clients, Accumen is realistically on track to become a $1 billion+ company within the next several years.
Today, over 200,000 clinical laboratories are certified to operate in the United States. These laboratories conduct more than 7 billion tests per year, which accounts for 2-3 percent of the overall $2.5 trillion spend on U.S. healthcare. While testing represents a relatively small percentage of healthcare spend, it influences 70+ percent of physician's clinical decisions for their patients.
Practices that reduce laboratory-related error rates and optimize use of laboratory testing can have a substantial effect on patient safety, clinical decision making about treatments and interventions, health outcomes, and costs. Accumen transforms the way large hospital systems operate their in-house laboratories by partnering to manage laboratory operations.
The business is backed by Accretive LLC, a unique private equity firm founded in 1999 by Michael Cline. Accretive LLC has created over $5 billion in equity value, and focuses specifically on using technology-enabled services to build companies that combine world class executive and management talent, best-possible process excellence, and leading technology.
