Clinsys, Inc. Selects DataLabs for Electronic Clinical Data Management and Site Management Solutions
DataLabs, an innovative developer of Internet-based applications for clinical development, today announced that Clinsys, Inc., a leading global clinical research organization part of Jubilant Organosys, Ltd., has signed an agreement to standardize its method of capturing clinical data utilizing DataLabs Clinical(TM) electronic clinical data management (eCDM) solution and DataLabs Site Manager(TM) for the set up and management of investigative sites.
DataLabs Clinical is an electronic clinical data management system (eCDM) that unifies the functionality of paper data entry with the flexibility of EDC into one, easy-to-use electronic data management platform. Through the use of a new technology approach, all of the functionality of a thick client paper data entry system can be achieved through a Web-based EDC system.
DataLabs Site Manager is an eClinical Collaboration System that paves the way for the next generation in Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS). Site Manager facilitates all internal and external collaboration for study activities from beginning to end. It accelerates the time for recruiting qualified investigators, initiating each site including the collection and versioning of regulatory documents, communicating with investigative sites, and providing a central portal in which to manage the progress of each clinical trial.
“We are extremely pleased that DataLabs came into the market to provide state-of-the-art data management and clinical trial management systems at a cost that is affordable to contract research organizations (CROs),” said Lloyd Baroody, CEO, Clinsys, Inc. “It’s the best of both worlds because CROs don’t have to sacrifice functionality and quality for price. DataLabs has thrived in the CRO market by developing a cost-effective Web-based solution that can be co-branded by CROs with a business model that offers subscription pricing with perpetual licensing. DataLabs is a successful software developer and hosting service that had the simple and logical idea of accommodating CRO’s pricing needs.”
As part of this agreement, Clinsys will be participating in DataLabs CRO Partners(TM) program. The DataLabs CRO Partner Program makes accelerating clinical trials easy and affordable by providing a suite of software, services and benefits designed specifically for the unique needs of CROs.
“We are excited to have Clinsys as part of our CRO Partners program,” said DataLabs’ President Jim Langford. “Clinsys experience and presence in the global market demonstrates the capabilities of our software to assist our partners in managing global clinical studies. By combining DataLabs Clinical and Site Manager, Clinsys now has the capabilities to manage both patient data and investigator information and documents in the same system, enhancing their ability to deliver a superior service to their clients. We are looking forward to working with Clinsys to expand functionality in Site Manager to provide even greater value.”
