Job Description
In this role, you will report to the Senior Marketing Associate and will be responsible for producing content that positions CSols as the industry thought leader, demonstrates our expertise and skill, and attracts and converts potential clients. The ideal candidate will also be expected to edit other technical team members’ work and provide guidance on others’ writing as well. There is already an established content calendar in place so the ideal candidate will be expected to adapt and dive in immediately. In addition to writing, the candidate may be expected to repurpose their content into speaking engagements and video/filming opportunities.
We are looking for a candidate who is creative, innovative, and flexible in order to continue CSols’ goal to succeed and grow in the marketplace and to exceed our competitors. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and using data to make marketing decisions. Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- Write content that meets marketing, legal, and branding guidelines while satisfying Sales needs as well
- Develop the schedule and write for Inbound and Outbound marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Delivery on Video Campaigns, Webinars, and Public Relations engagements
- Produce Content for Blogs, Articles, Press Releases, White Papers, Emails, Case Studies, Website Copy, Industry Reports, and Social Posts
- Work closely with the creative department to transform written content into visuals
- Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders
- Monitor competitor activities and successful campaigns being delivered by other agencies
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who has worked in the Laboratory Informatics industry and possesses the skills and desire to write about it. Your laboratory informatics experience should include an understanding of the marketplace, knowledge about our clients’ needs, wants, and pain points, the vendors and services available, and the competition. Then be able to incorporate those experiences into your creative and writing process. The ideal candidate should have the competency to combine their knowledge and background to articulate our services as well as educate our audience through various written and verbal communication. Due to the specialized and niche industry that CSols inhabits, additional extensive and thorough research will be expected.
Below are the qualifications best suited for this position:
- 5+ years’ experience in the Laboratory Informatics industry
- Proven Content Writing or Copywriting ability
- Laboratory Informatics Marketing or Sales experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Video Software, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and HubSpot is a plus but not required
- Experience working for a professional services company is a plus
- Possess persistence, drive, and passion are to see their projects through to publishing
- Experience in producing copy for digital, print and audio
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Solid understanding of SEO concepts preferred
