Contractor will provide pre-employment and reasonable suspicion drug collection and testing services to Porterville Developmental Center (PDC) job applicants and employees, as requested. Contractor must meet all National Institute of Drug Testing (NIDA) requirements and DOT Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations for collection and testing for specified drugs and alcohol. Contractor must possess or contract with a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) certified laboratory that possesses all licenses and permits required by law. Testing will be performed either at Contractor’s place of business or at PDC as required by the State. Contractor must have a Certified Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) available 24/7. Since under certain circumstances a 30 minute response time is required, Contractor’s place of business must be local to PDC (within 15 miles).
