The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, material, equipment and incidentals necessary to provide sampling of water collection in the field, analyze the water collection and produce technical reports of pollutants, detected in the underground discharge water to the California Department of Transportation (Department). The Contractor must take samples of the underground discharge water at designated well pumps located within the Counties of Los Angeles and Ventura. Forty-one (41) pumps will pump out underground water to keep the water tables less than three (3) feet below road level on the freeways. The water that is discharge in the river must meet National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) requirements. The testing, analyzing, and report writing of the water samples shall be conducted at an environmental health laboratory that is fully accredited by the State of California, Department of Health Services, Division of Laboratory Science. Small Business preference will be granted on the Invitation for Bid (IFB). Read the Sample Standard Agreement carefully before establishing rates and submitting a bid.
