The increasing national backlog of DNA samples has needed a sample processing system aiming at high throughput and short turnaround time. Starfruit IdentiTrack® Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) tracks batches or plates of quality control (QC) samples (positive, negative and extraction blanks) and the large-volume DNA samples to insure that the reagents used to produce the profiles from the DNA samples also produce the appropriate results from the QC samples. If the QC samples do not produce the expected result, Starfruit IdentiTrack® Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) invalidates all the DNA sample data and documents the errors.
