Debbiom Selects SQL*LIMS® v5 for Regulated Sample Management
Applied Biosystems is proud to announce that Debbiom (Desarollos Biomédicos y Biotecnológicos de México, S.A. de C.V.) of Monterrey, Mexico has selected SQL*LIMS v5 for their regulated drug sample management activities.
The leading laboratory in Mexico for bioavailability / bioequivalence studies and pharmaceutical method development, Debbiom, had been performing sample management using paper notebooks and electronic spreadsheets. However, their workload had been steadily increasing, straining such a manual system’s limits, and now government oversight required additional testing. The need for a LIMS was high on Debbiom’s list of priorities due to a recent law approved in Mexico mandating equivalent testing on all generic drugs. Debbiom’s growth and excellent reputation for quality demanded a LIMS that would address their increased workload capacity and also fulfill the strict guidelines imposed by the Mexican government.
SQL*LIMS version 5.0 is an open platform web services application that uses industry standard technology to drive integration throughout the enterprise. It simplifies laboratory processes with easy-to-configure workflows and reporting tools, reducing training requirements while expediting sample management tasks.

Working closely with the Applied Biosystems Latin America LIMS Technical Support Service team is IVG (IVG Comercializadora S.A. de C.V.) of Monterrey, Mexico, who will provide technical services to install and configure the SQL*LIMS v5 implementation for Debbiom at their Monterrey site. IVG is also the distributor for ABI’s SQL*LIMS product in Mexico as well as providing technical support in partnership with ABI LIMS Professional services team.
