Dotmatics’ ELN, Inventory and Chemical Registration Platform Implemented by Euroscreen

BISHOP’S STORTFORD, England, November 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ —

Dotmatics’ Platform to power Euroscreen’s chemistry database

Dotmatics, a leading provider of scientific informatics solutions and services, announced today the implementation of the Dotmatics Platform at Euroscreen, a privately owned preclinical-stage, drug discovery and development company in Belgium. Euroscreen has updated its chemistry informatics infrastructure by replacing its chemical registration, inventory and Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN) with Dotmatics’ technology.

Euroscreen is a leader in the research of first-in-class small molecule drug candidates for inflammation, metabolic disorders and sex hormone modulation. In addition, Euroscreen provides GPCR custom testing services including HTS-screening, lead optimisation support, candidate profiling and target deorphanisation/characterisation. The nature of Euroscreen’s research implies the need to deal with a vast number of compounds and an equally large amount of data. Euroscreen transitioned to Dotmatics’ solutions successfully after an exhaustive pilot phase and a short migration process from its previous infrastructure.

The Dotmatics Platform is a web-based, integrated scientific data management system. The system is modular allowing research organisations to customise the solutions to suit their needs. Euroscreen implemented Browser, a universal query and reporting system, Register, to handle all chemical sample registration, Inventory to track down compounds, and Studies Notebook, Dotmatics’ ELN. In addition, Euroscreen implemented Vortex, a premium scientific business intelligence tool designed for the analysis and visualisation of large datasets.

“We are pleased to have transitioned to the Dotmatics Platform in terms of our chemistry database and ELN at Euroscreen. Dotmatics offers great value for money in terms of their high quality products and superb customer service and support,” said Hamid Hoveyda, Director, Med Chem & Development at Euroscreen.

“The adoption of the Dotmatics Platform at Euroscreen highlights our strength as the leading provider of chemistry informatics solutions to the life sciences industry. We are enabling researchers to maximise the value of their data. Our solutions can be found in a wide range of research organisations including small Biotechs, large Pharmaceuticals and CROs,” said Dr Stephen Gallagher, CEO at Dotmatics. “The deployment at Euroscreen pinpoints the flexibility, interoperability and scalability of our software solutions as well as the quality of our services.”
