Eli Lilly and Company Selects VelQuest’s SmartLab ™ GMP Electronic Notebook System as a Component of a Global Laboratory Information Management Initiative
VelQuest Corporation, Hopkinton, MA, November 15, 2007 – VelQuest, the developer of a paperless compliance management system for pharmaceutical quality laboratory operations, announced today that Eli Lilly has selected VelQuest’s SmartLab ™ GMP Electronic Notebook System for their Global Laboratory Information Management Initiative. The SmartLab system automates lab operations in a three-tiered architecture with a LIMS and SAP. SmartLab is being deployed first with out-of-the-box integration with Waters Empower™ CDS and other stand-alone QC lab instruments. VelQuest’s SmartLab unique lab execution approach complements the LIMS administration functions that will be deployed later at each plant. This architecture will ensure alignment of cGMP lab processes for global QC data management at Eli Lilly and Company.
