ELNs, Using Data Effectively and Applying Knowledge Management in Businesses 

In preparation to the EDKM Summit Event (ELNs, Data Analytics and Knowledge Management Summit) Pharma IQ conducted an industry survey to find out how organisations are effectively utilizing data and applying knowledge management to improve decision making and efficiency in their businesses.
The survey shows that 39% of the respondents have implemented ELNs in full within their organisations yet 8% has not adopted it. 42% says that the major challenge relating to ELNS is the Integration with existing systems; on the other hand 8% express one’s view that their biggest challenge is an internal buy in and regular use.
Moreover, only 39% poses a wider laboratory informatics system followed by a 38% of the organizations who don’t. 69% are currently involved in knowledge management and a minority of 8% is not involved yet. 47% states that the biggest challenge relating to effective data management and achieving knowledge management is investing and providing ROI and 8% attributes it to technology limitations.
To finalize with, 31% are currently using any data analytics, predictive tools or software; however, 38% is not using any of those yet.
