EMS Pipeline Services and Quorum Business Solutions Form a Joint Ownership Alliance on PGAS(R) Gas Measurement Software
EMS Pipeline Services (EMS), a leading operations and maintenance service provider to the energy industry, and Quorum Business Solutions, Inc. (Quorum), a major provider of software solutions to the oil and gas industry, today announced an alliance around PGAS, the industry leading gas measurement software. Through the alliance, EMS and Quorum will participate as joint owners of PGAS. Quorum will integrate the latest release of PGAS (PGAS 6.1) into the Quorum Energy Software Suite, which is a comprehensive set of integrated modules that includes functionality from the wellhead to the burner tip, providing operational, administrative, and financial solutions to companies that produce, gather, transport, process, and market natural gas and other energy commodities. EMS will have co-marketing rights to the other modules in the Quorum Suite, and EMS will continue to use PGAS as the technology platform to support its field services and back office support functions to pipeline and production companies.
PGAS 6.1 is the widely accepted standard in natural gas measurement systems. The highly flexible and open architecture of PGAS 6.1 gives users more control over how data is gathered, validated, edited, reported, and disseminated. Developed on the scaleable Microsoft.Net development platform, PGAS 6.1 has controls and features to support managing Lost and Unaccounted For (LUAF) gas and complying with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
