Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Leader job in Marlborough, MA – GE Healthcare
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Service and Service sites' strategy on Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) issues for GE Healthcare. This individual will also function in a team environment with other members of the business level EHS staff to ensure EHS compliance and effective program management.
Essential Responsibilities
•Lead certain assigned aspects (technical, regulatory/third party interface, reporting, permitting, compliance, financial, administrative, etc.) of GE Healthcare projects and permits in compliance with relevant regulatory programs and GE corporate policies. Ensure appropriate management of consultants and legal counsel on all projects and coordinate efforts of other EHS staff members and site EHS professionals on various projects as required.
•Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to EHS manager to ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements. Participate in EHS compliance and program audits of sites and service operations. Implement strategic EHS initiatives, identify operational best practices and effectively implement GE EHS management systems
•Keep management apprised of progress and significant developments on key projects
•Vigorously lead / drive EHS operationalization and accountability to all employees
•Champion incident / accident investigation processes and drive closure of corrective actions
•Supervise and mentor site leadership team to support the implementation of EHS management system and develop high performing leadership teams to operationalize EHS ownership: safety, ergonomics, and emergency response teams
