ESS Achieves Browser-Based Milestone with Essential Suite TM

Robert Johnson, CEO of ESS, announced today that the Essential Suite TM family of software is now fully browser-based, giving users anywhere/anytime access to the most comprehensive set of Environmental, Health & Safety and Crisis Management solutions on the market today.

With the release of Essential Suite (Version 6.2), all current modules in this industry leading product line are now built on the same Microsoft®.NET platform, making it easier and more cost effective for organizations to leverage EH&S and Crisis Management information across the enterprise. The newly unified suite dramatically reduces technical support costs by enabling multiple departments and/or facilities to share the same support resources, regardless of their physical location. It also helps organizations develop enterprise-wide best practices by standardizing critical information processes and helping to assure data integrity.

Essential Suite TM is widely recognized as the most powerful set of solutions on the market, with integrated modules for managing Compliance, Tasking, Air, Water, Waste, Fugitive Emissions, Chemical Inventory, Industrial Hygiene, MSDS, and Crisis Management data. For years, organizations around the world have relied upon the suite’s robust data model, standard and regulatory reports, and other strengths.

“This release represents a major strategic milestone for Essential Suite TM and ESS,” said Mr. Johnson. “With it, we are making another leap forward – providing best-of-breed solutions that are truly integrated and globally accessible in order to help our clients manage operational risks across their enterprise.”

ESS‘ latest release adds four modules to its .NET platform: Essential Air TM, Essential FEMS TM, Essential Water TM and Essential Industrial Hygiene TM. The complete new Essential Suite TM delivers benefits such as:

  • Expanded electronic regulatory reporting capabilities for Tier2 Submit chemical inventory reporting, Waste Biennial Reporting, TRI Reporting, and more.
  • Cost reductions due to low/zero maintenance client systems at the local facility level.
  • Improved information flow and functionality to better support specific work processes.
  • .NET architecture that will make it easier for ESS to integrate with third-party systems for citation linking, production data, laboratory information, etc.

“The new browser-based Essential Suite TM is the result of active collaboration with our clients and partners,” said Joe Appelbaum, ESS‘ Vice President of Product Management. “We want to thank them for their help and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
