ESS’ Latest Essential Suite TM Release Streamlines EH&S Reporting
Tier II reporting and organizational compliance benchmarking are now faster and easier with Essential Suite TM (Version 6.1) software, the latest release of ESS‘ line of enterprise-level Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and Crisis Management software, ESS CEO Robert Johnson announced today.
Two of the suite’s modules, Essential Chemical Inventory TM and Essential Compliance Manager TM, contain key enhancements that will save time and money by significantly improving organizational workflow and chemical inventory management in nearly every industry. The money and time savings come primarily in the form of reduced man hours that result from having fewer processes for staff members to address.
- Essential Chemical Inventory — The latest enhancement allows the module to create a data export file of a SARA 312 Tier II report that can be saved and submitted electronically in 22 states that accept the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier 2 Submit Software application. This enhancement also improves workflow efficiency when Tier II chemical inventory data is needed by state and local emergency planners and response personnel.
- Essential Compliance Manager — Through an alliance with Citation Publishing, ESS clients can now access the latest, full-text versions of any state or federal regulatory requirement. A separate notification feature gives subscribed users access to changes or updates to regulations — on demand or at a chosen scheduled time — that they monitor most often. The utility can also identify task assignments documented in Compliance Manager that are associated with the updates.
Other global enhancements to Essential Suite include improved software and user security features and browser search capabilities. In addition, many significant module-specific changes were also introduced in the new release, for example: improved form search filtering in Essential MSDS Manager TM, an improved user interface for interaction between the daily and operations modes of Essential Incident Master TM and expanded Essential Waste TM form views for materials, containers and shipments.
