Fletcher-Flora Health Care Systems, Inc. today announced a Reference Lab Sample Routing enhancement to its FFlex eSuite™, the latest addition to the company’s growing line of Web-based Laboratory Information System (LIS) solutions for the clinical laboratory. The Reference Lab Sample Routing enhancement provides “Business Rules” routing of samples to maximize a clinical laboratory’s reimbursement and profitability.

The Enhanced Container Routing Rules in the FFlex eSuite Rules engine now provide rules to route testing based a variety of criteria, including, insurance company, patient priority (Stat, Pre-Op, etc.) test type, billing type, and patient type. This new enhancement minimizes the labor involved in determining where tests must be performed and maximizes revenue by ensuring that all tests that can be, are conducted in-house and billed by the practice,” Flora added.
