Genohm opens its new US branch in Durham, NC
Lausanne (Switzerland) and Durham (NC, USA), 03.30.2016: Genohm announces the opening of its new US branch Genohm Inc. in Durham, NC to further penetrate the market in the States.
Besides hiring Veronica Ponce de Leon to lead its US branch Genohm Inc., the company has revealed the opening of new US offices. They are in the trending city of Durham, NC, at the heart of the Research Triangle technology and medical hub . The Triangle encompasses three main cities namely Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh, and prestigious Universities such North Carolina State University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the ivy league Duke University. Durham itself is ranked within the 40 cities with the highest ratio of PhD’s per habitant in the States. The Research Triangle Area is home to 15 Universities and 10 colleges with 42,000 graduates per year.
Frederik Decouttere, CEO of Genohm, commented: “Our current US clients are at the Research Triangle and in Washington, DC. Therefore, the choice of establishing Genohm Inc. in Durham was pretty logical. For what concerns servicing our clients, we are at the heart of the Triangle and at 1 hour flight from Washington, DC. But our offices are also conveniently located on the East Coast. In two hours flight or less we can reach Boston, Chicago, NY, Philly, Atlanta or Miami. With the Charlotte and Raleigh International airports nearby, it is the perfect location to further penetrate the US market.
We established our offices in a beautiful building in downtown Durham less than 1 mile from Duke East Campus. Actually, it’s an old government office building with amazing internal architecture and old-timer vaults and letterboxes. The building is home of American Underground, a Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub Start-up Community, we are quite proud to be part of.
Now that we have opened these offices, Veronica will go ahead and build a team to expand our US market share.”
