Durham, NC, USA, November 23, 2016: earlier in March, Genohm announced the opening of its new US branch Genohm Inc. in Durham, NC. The goal of this move was to further penetrate the market in the US. Today, we present the new Team of Genohm Inc. driving our business there.

Nicholas Beckloff, PhD, is currently the Director of North American Operations at Genohm Inc. Nick has a long and interesting high-level career. He has a wide experience with LIMS systems from his previous job at Genologics, an Illumina Company. Prior to that he was a Genomics Core Laboratory Director at both Michigan State University and Case Western Reserve University where he provided genomic-based services to both external and internal clients.

Marcia has worked in the technology arena for many years, including 25 years in the regulated pharmaceutical & clinical trials industries. She held multiple Director-level positions at PPD, an international CRO, in the web development, research & development, networks/security, and training departments. She was the technology project director on several major contracts with various divisions at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) including DAIDS, DMID, and SACCC. Prior to PPD, she was a systems developer at Lederle Laboratories and a programmer with Nielsen Television Research.

Harsh received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Bombay in 2012. Afterwards, he worked in the Pathology laboratory at Prince Aly Khan Hospital, adopting several roles spanning from a cytotechnician to a hematologist. In 2013 he moved to BioMerieux where he worked as a field application specialist to improve sales and support (scientific and IT) for microbial identification systems and software.

Ghent, Belgium, 11.24.2016: We are very happy to communicate that, in order to support the steady growth of our office in Ghent, Belgium, we have just hired two new colleagues.

Brecht freshly received his Master degree in Computer Science Engineering from Ghent University with the title: “Low latency querying of huge RDF datasets using Big Data technologies” in September. Therefore this will be his first job, for sure he will learn a lot from all his new colleagues.

Benoit holds a PhD in Computer Science from Ghent University with the title: “Towards flexible goal-oriented logic programming”. Prior to obtaining his PhD, he has been an intern with LogicBlox Inc., in Atlanta, GA, USA.

Lausanne, Switzerland, November 25, 2016: We are very happy to communicate that, in order to support the steady growth of our office in Lausanne, Switzerland, we have just hired two new colleagues.

Audrey and Idrees join the Team in Lausanne, Switzerland.  Audrey received her Master degree from EPFL of Lausanne, Switzerland in Bioengineering with a minor in Neuroprosthetics and a Master Project at the Imperial College in London, UK on biomechanical modeling of postural balance. Beside this, in order to broaden her professional expertise, she has performed several internships, namely in bioinformatics at DrugDesignTech, in neurorehabilitation and data analysis at ReHaptix, in motion analysis algorithm implementation at Gaitup and finally for the program Enable, the start-up technology accelerator of TTO, the tech transfer office of EPFL.

Idrees has received his Master degree in Bioengineering and has Bachelor in Life Science both from EPFL in Lausanne. After getting his degree, he has performed 2 internships, the first at CHUV, the university hospital of Lausanne and the second at LRESE, the Laboratory of Renewable Energy Science and Engineering of EPFL. The aim was to improve his developer skills especially in web development. After a successful internship with us, he was promoted to a full position. Idrees, through his multi disciplinary formation, now aims to be involved at different levels in the company.
