Global Director, Commercial Operations

Job Title: Global Director, Commercial Operations, Oral Drug Delivery 
Reports to: Vice President & General Manager, Oral Drug Delivery 
Position Summary 
The position will lead a global team of commercial operations directors and is responsible for supporting the global business development team and the site operations for our Oral Drug Delivery business unit by providing commercial management of existing customer relationships and providing support for potential new customers and their business development opportunities. Works with senior management, business development, and operations in the setting and negotiation of pricing and commercial contracts that support the business unit. Working with new product introductions and operations teams, ensures that customer programs effectively transition from signed opportunity to development/tech transfer program to commercial launch and to routine production and ongoing contract management.

Requirements: 

The Role 

•Lead team of key relationship managers for customers (existing and new) working within a given site and ensure a superior level of communication occurs between the parties
•Ensure coordination and conduct of customer site visits and associated hospitality
•Facilitate the preparation of supply agreements for targeted customers with Legal, Finance, Business Development and Operations and serve as integral negotiator for such supply agreements with support from Vice President & General Manager and Vice President-Business Development
•Provide support to other business development team members on strategy/negotiation of quotations, development agreements and commercial supply agreements
•Track commercial supply agreements to ensure capture of relevant provisions (e.g., fees, price increases, KPIs, forecasts, renewals) 
The Candidate 

•Bachelors degree in science, business administration or related field
•10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing, quality or regulatory, general business management, technical project management and analysis
•Relevant industry knowledge of oral dosage form development, analytical research and development, project scale-up, product manufacturing, quality, validations, and regulatory
•Experienced contract negotiator
•Analytical, financial, and statistical skills
•Customer services skills and professional demeanour
