International fair presents sugar & alcohol projects and promotes new business opportunities
The 13th edition of Fenasucro – International Fair of the Sugar & Alcohol Industry – joins once more, in Sertãozinho (state of São Paulo, Brazil), suppliers of equipment and services for sugar and alcohol mills and distilleries all over the world. Organizers are expecting around 35 thousand visitors.
This year Chemtech will be presenting at the fair its full portfolio of solutions, as well as some success projects in this field, plus Simatic IT, XHQ and Intune software.
Dedini – One of the projects Chemtech will be showing at Fenasucro is the Molecular Screen for LSC (Low Steam Consumptions), developed for Dedini, a company with over 700 distilleries in this country and 17 abroad. Dedini is a Brazilian company leader in the supply of technology and equipment for the sugar & alcohol industry, accounting for 80% of the national alcohol production and over 30% of the world production.
“For this project, Chemtech had to develop a technology that would render more efficient the production process of anhydrous alcohol”, explained Daniel Moczydlower, one of the Chemtech managers responsible for the job. As a result, there was a reduction in the energy consumption of the alcohol dehydration process via Molecular Screen and the registration of a patent at INPI by Chemtech and Dedini as co-authors, in which Dedini has the intellectual property, along with Siemens, responsible for the supply of the automation and control system to the new LSC Molecular Screen plants.
Santa Adélia Mill – Fenasucro visitors will also be able to find out about the Santa Adélia Mill project, where a prototype system was implemented for information integration based on the Siemens product Simatic IT Historian.
“This application delivers production reports and historical tendency charts by integrating data from different sources, such as supervision and process control systems (supervisory systems), control of cane supply and process and product quality, plus maintenance management system data (service orders and shutdowns)”, said Luiz Antonio Mello, Chemtech project manager responsible for the job.
Production reports combining data from the different systems are now available at the intranet of the Mill. Thus, results, such as averages/totals for the day, the week, and the crop, are automatically consolidated.
It is still possible to get more details on these projects! The fair started last September 20 and will go on until the 23rd. Chemtech managers are available to talk to visitors.
Fenasucro is a major event to find out about the latest novelties of the industry and promote new business opportunities. Professionals and technicians get together seeking for technological innovations, information, knowledge and good business.
The purpose of the event is to stimulate technological strengthening and development in the industry, increasing agricultural and industrial productivity, minimizing costs and ensuring product quality.
