“Contractor agrees to provide all labor, tools, travel, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to collect and analyze water samples, store, transport, and legally dispose of any purge/wastewater, and prepare technical reports, notifications, and permit renewal documents to assist Caltrans with compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) and Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permits (collectively, ‘permits’). Contractor shall be licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and shall possess a valid Water Treatment Operator Grade T1 or greater Certification from the California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB).

All water testing must be performed by a laboratory with a valid Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) Certification and appear on the list of Certified Laboratories Bidder and Subcontractor shall possess at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the Agreement, a valid and current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). A Laboratory performing only the lab testing is exempt from the registration.”
