| Contractor shall provide clinical laboratory services for Atascadero State Hospital over a two-year contract period; with at least ninety percent (90%) of the procedures specified in the agreement performed onsite on a daily basis, Monday through Friday. Contractor shall supply all necessary materials for the collection, handling, and transportation of specimens sent to contractor.
Contractor’s courier must visit the state hospital at least one (1) time daily, Monday through Friday, no earlier than 3:30 PM each day, with capabilities for storage and transportation of frozen and/or refrigerated specimens. The contractor shall be LIS interface-capable and will include any associated costs in the bid proposal. The contractor must be able to at least download complete patient reports into the ASH LIS (LabSoft). Interfacing must be completed within one month of the start of the contract period. Contractor shall provide a teleprinter for the electronic transmission of test results. Stat requests may be ordered seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. The anticipated number of stat pick-ups is fifteen to twenty-five (15-25) per month. Specimens for stat testing must be picked up within one (1) hour of the call for courier service. Stat results shall be available within three (3) hours of the notification call to the courier service.
