Irosoft Signs a Seven-Year Agreement with Justice Canada

MONTREAL, Oct. 13 /CNW Telbec/ – The Department of Justice Canada (DJC) recently signed a seven-year service agreement (four years plus a three-year option) with the Montreal-based company Irosoft. Under this agreement, Irosoft’s mandate is to ensure the maintenance and development of modules for the LIMS system, which, in particular, improves access to Canada’s acts and regulations for the general public and other government departments.

“This service agreement is good news for Irosoft, since it will help the company work with the DJC to carry out its mission of processing and disseminating acts and regulations. We are very proud of the trust the DJC has in us,” says Alain Lavoie, Founding President of Irosoft. “In addition, this seven-year agreement strengthens our position as a Canadian leader in the legal field, a position that has been established over the past 11 years.”

About the LIMS System of the Department of Justice Canada

LIMS is at the same time a legislative drafting environment, an automated act and regulation consolidation environment, a dissemination environment, an intranet, a Web site and a system for printing acts and regulations.

LIMS allows for quick consolidation of the acts and regulations, offers an in-depth search application, provides the acts and regulations at a given point in time, provides access to English and French versions side by side, and the possibility of printing a unilingual or bilingual PDF version of Canadian acts and regulations.

Similar systems have been designed for the justice departments in Quebec
and New Brunswick.
