Gryphon Technologies was selected as the Prime contractor to expand its model research data sharing / computational science infrastructure in support of neurosciences research at the NIH. We have an employment opportunity available for a Senior Java Developer to play a critical role on a large scientific data archive which houses, harmonizes, and shares human-subjects data that aims to accelerate progress of research in mental health. You will have significant interfacing with Senior National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) staff as you help drive efforts to build critical components & solutions for a massive peta-scale data services infrastructure.
This is an unprecedented opportunity to use your skills helping advance our understanding of the human brain by supporting neurosciences research. You will be enabling data from billions of dollars in investment in autism, depression, suicide prevention, PTSD, substance abuse, alcoholism, etc., to be made securely available to scientists from around the world.

Required Experience and Capabilities:
- at least Seven (7) years of professional Java development experience;
- specific past experience Implementing effective and efficient multi-factor authentication;
- Creating, validating, and using JSON Web Tokens (JWT);
- OAuth 2.0 protocol;
- OpenID Connect;
- Agile development process;
- Jira, Atlassian, Confluence;
- US citizenship or Green card with the ability to pass a Background Investigation/BI.
Preferred skills include:
- Any experince designing & building a "single sign-on solution";
- Experience or direct knowledge of NIH central identity management system
- Additional experience in supporting large data/big data solutions for HHS, NIH, or similar federal agencies;
- Amazon Web Service.
