KliniTek Announces New Lab Outreach Solution for Healthcare Providers and Reference Labs
KliniTek, a provider of Web-based clinical information integration software and consulting services, announced the release of its UPCARE(R) eLAB application, an easy-to-use and cost- effective Web-based outreach management solution for hospital and independent reference labs. KliniTek acquired the UPCARE eLAB software assets from Marquette General Health System (MGHS) and today announced their commercial availability.
UPCARE eLAB contributes to enhanced reference lab productivity and increased lab utilization and revenue. A single, integrated solution, UPCARE eLAB provides results reporting from a single user interface, and can seamlessly integrate with existing EMR systems, including KliniTek’s UPCARE(R) eMR.

UPCARE eLAB complements existing laboratory information systems rather than replacing them by adding efficient outreach functionality. The application provides secure Web-enabled order entry with medical necessity checking and ABN handing, and real-time order status and detailed results reporting. An intuitive user interface also provides users quick access to patient registration as well as packing lists and specimen label printing for accurate tracking. Reference labs can utilize extensive security options for full HIPAA compliance.
