KnowItAll 3.1 Offers Advances in ADME | Tox Prediction
PHILADELPHIA, PA, February 12, 2004 – Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX: BIO and BIO.B) announced today the release of the KnowItAll® Informatics System version 3.1 and further advances in ADME/Tox prediction. Below are some highlights and additions in the new release:
- Bio-Rad’s ProfileIt™ is a new application that enables scientists to generate a comprehensive ADME/Tox profile that can be used to assess a compound’s potential for advancement in pharmaceutical R&D. The program allows the user to view the results of all prediction models in the KnowItAll software, such as Blood Brain Barrier Permeability, log D, log P, Mutagenicty, Plasma Protein Binding in a consolidated report format for any compound.
- KnowItAll 3.1 also offers a Human Intestinal Absorption prediction model from ChemSilico LLC to help researchers determine whether not a drug candidate has a suitable oral absorption rate.
- With this release, all editions of the KnowItAll Informatics System, including Bio-Rad’s solutions for Spectroscopy and Cheminformatics, offer improved datamining capabilities, including the ability to color code and assign weighting factors to values based on pre-defined rules for each property.
