LabAnalyst.NET was ‘the only bright spot’ during 2002 in the LIMS industry
St. Charles, IL — March 10, 2003 — In the Spring 2003 issue of the LIMS/Letter, the quarterly publication for the laboratory information management systems (LIMS) community, editor Helen Gillespie said that the introduction of Finna’s LabAnalyst.NET software package was ‘the only bright spot’ during 2002 in the LIMS industry.
In “In the Doldrums: A Look Back at 2002”, Ms. Gillespie wrote, “The LIMS industry remained focused on 21 CFR 11 – the electronic records and signatures rule – as well as on Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs) and the continued connectivity of all things in the lab. But those topics didn’t disguise the absence of new innovations in the LIMS arena. The only bright spot was the LabAnalyst.NET XML-based solution.”
Ms. Gillespie, a previous LIMS Award laureate, continued, “Finna Technologies, Inc. introduced LabAnalyst.NET at The International LIMS Conference 2002. Built on Microsoft’s .NET platform, LabAnalyst.NET is an XML-based LIMS for small to mid-sized labs that is perhaps the first of the next generation of true XML-based solutions for the lab.”
