One type of LIMS software is used primarily for repetitive data entry. It is often found in treatment plants or industrial settings. This LIMS application may prompt users for data entry on recurring frequencies, such as: hourly, daily, weekly, etc. Typically the collected data will be calculated to format operational and compliance reports automatically.LabLite PC (process control) was designed to manage recurring data in a SQL Server back end.
However, there always seems to be a need for ad hoc or special testing with a more robust LIMS that includes QA/QC, 21CFR, GALP or NELAC practices. LabLite 2X is this type of LIMS. Now the problem: how do the two different LIMS applications share data across different databases? Yes, it can be done in report queries that ask for data from different locations, but this is not real time sharing. That is why LabLite has developed our unique “Triggers” that immediately post data in different databases so that secure users can view and work with the information they need from any data source.
The LabLite “Triggers” also work with the new LabLite CS (customer service) designed for water utilities.
