Latest pharma software on show at SOT meeting

LabLogic’s laboratory information management system and chromatography software for the pharmaceutical metabolism industry will be to the fore at the 48th Annual Meeting of the Society of Toxicology (15-19 March, Baltimore, USA).

At Booth 1765 of the accompanying ToxExpo exhibition, visitors will be able to sample the latest releases of the company’s Debra LIMS for ADME studies and Laura radio-chromatography management system.

Debra 5.7, for example, includes a new module for all types of Protein Binding assay Equilibrium Dialysis, Ultrafiltration, Ultracentrifugation and Blood Cell Association, as well as calculation of Non-specific Binding and Time to Equilibrium experiments.

Preparation of stock solutions and analysis and calculation of the initial spiked plasma concentration means that all data associated with the assay is recorded within the database. There is also a detailed display of how calculations of bound and free percentages are shown in order to provide a clear understanding of how results have been reached.

The ease of use of Laura 4 is typified by improvements to the Measurement Queue and Batch facility, which now make it possible to insert samples into the middle of a batch; clone samples to run them again; change the order of samples in a batch; and pause the measurement queue whilst adding batches to avoid unnecessary solvent use. Sample lists can be imported and exported to and from the user’s LIMS system, Microsoft Excel or other program; and measurement queues can be started remotely from an office PC.
