Lead LIMS Engineer
We are in search of a passionate LIMS Engineer experienced with customizing LIMS systems to optimize lab operations.
This position will be with a San Diego based, Bioanalytical Contract Research Organization (CRO) that provides biopharma, non-profit, and academic organizations with a discovery pipeline that combines proprietary next-generation mass spectrometry systems, computational analysis, and a large-scale human biology database.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of the LIMS platform
- Contribute to systems architecture, design and site
- reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a
- seamless user experience
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Mentor junior engineers, helping them grow both technically
- and personally
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in lab
- technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software
- Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in LIMS engineering role(s)
- Experience with cloud computing and web applications
- development is preferred
- Strong coding background with at least one programming
- language
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain well-documented
- processes and code that conform to and support audit, security, and business continuity requirements
- Experience with data architecture and data modeling
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of leading meetings
- and presenting to stakeholders
