LIMS and Politics, not a good mix

The following link takes you to an interesting article about a terminated employee at the Florida DEP. One of the charges brought against the FL DEP by the employee is that the employee cited “embarrassing problems with improper management oversight of laboratory and field operations and the data entry system (Laboratory Information Management System) used by the state laboratory.”
When I read the article, I came to the conclusion that LIMS and politics do not mix but a lot of people who use LIMS sure can make it a political football.
