LIMS User Meeting is a Winning Formula

Leading laboratory software developer, Autoscribe, is pleased to announce the success of its recent annual LIMS user group meeting. The meeting, designed to help users maximise their software set-up, was attended by sixty users, including customers from Sweden and France. It was held at the prestigious WilliamsF1 Conference Centre in Oxfordshire on November 26.

Topics at the meeting covered current developments of Autoscribe’s leading Matrix LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), and included an exciting preview of the soon to be launched Matrix. NET that offers unrivalled levels of user flexibility. New solutions such as ‘Resource Planner’ and Laboratory Instrument Interfacing were also covered, along with ‘Training Records Manager’ for use in any sector. Key customers also gave presentations, outlining their experiences and benefits from using
Matrix.

After the talks, a series of break-out sessions was organised for users to discuss their individual needs with Autoscribe specialists, followed by an exciting, exclusive tour of the WilliamsF1 museum before close.

The feedback from users was extremely positive, with the presentations, break-out sessions and tour scoring very highly. “This was a very professional meeting at a venue that absolutely oozes quality. It was a great opportunity to meet people from Autoscribe and learn something new,” said one user from a major pharmaceutical company.

The annual Matrix LIMS user meeting reinforces Autoscribe’s commitment to its customers in the laboratory and scientific sector. As a result of this success, Autoscribe is planning to run a series of road show seminars at key venues around the UK in 2004.

Autoscribe, based in the UK, is established as a world leader in the development of LIMS scientific software. Software systems for general business sectors have also been developed and all the latest solutions will be on display and demonstrated at Pittcon 2004, Chicago in March. On the back of sustained growth, Autoscribe will be moving to new larger, purpose built premises in Riseley, Berkshire in early 2004.
