Lucidoc Signs Adventist Medical Center for Compliance Solution; Compliance Management Solution Installed in Record Time

Lucidoc, a leading provider of advanced technology for managing compliance and risk, announced today that it has signed a contract with Adventist Medical Center (AMC), a nonprofit, 302-bed acute care facility, located in Portland, Ore. AMC offers a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services and is a member of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, which represents regional delivery networks spanning California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. AMC and Lucidoc completed training, loading and converting of nearly 2,300 cross-departmental polices and procedures spanning all clinical, ancillary and administrative areas within six weeks. Lucidoc’s NASA-pioneered technology approaches compliance and risk management from a unique perspective. With a focus on managing documents throughout their lifecycle, the Lucidoc system helps highly regulated industries create a culture of compliance through organization-wide, PC-based access to regularly updated, accurate information.

Tom Russell, Adventist Medical Center Senior Vice President, explained that AMC voluntarily submits to evaluations of Joint Commission Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) compliance with nationwide hospital standards on a continuing basis. Russell stated, “The JCAHO accreditation is one of the assurances that AMC provides to the community that it practices continuous quality monitoring in order to provide quality health care. With the user-friendly Lucidoc system we are equipping our staff with powerful desktop search-engine access to the accurate procedural information they need to make the right care decisions for our patients.”

Those sentiments were echoed by Adventist Medical Center Chief Financial Officer Mark Perry who stated, “The approval and installation of the Lucidoc system was one of our fastest ever because the system provided everything we needed plus more, and Lucidoc’s references were equally impressive.” Perry added, “We’re anticipating a JCAHO survey this fall and look forward to counting AMC as one of a growing number of healthcare organizations that is exceeding JCAHO accreditation standards in part because of how the Lucidoc system streamlines the review process, showcasing our ability to ensure compliance.”

Kim Mackay, president and CEO of Lucidoc, confirmed her pleasure in partnering with such a top notch organization. “As creators of the Lucidoc system we understand how challenging it can be for highly regulated industries to create evidence-based practices and it’s always satisfying when an organization like AMC acts so quickly to take advantage of the benefits that this highly advanced technology can offer.”
