Manager, Laboratory Informatics Management Systems
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Technical Lab Director – Regulatory Chemistry. The candidate will support the Chemistry and Regulatory Testing and regulatory submission for JUUL Labs. This position will be located on site in Durham, NC laboratory.
- Support our Laboratory Information Management (LIMs) system including the configuration, customization, integrity, and on-going support of all functional user groups.
- Analyze business process issues and improvement opportunities to provide recommendations to the business and IT management to optimize the use of the LIMs application and/or migration of related software(s).
- Define business requirements, process maps, and use cases for software functionality, and recommend appropriate solutions to drive business effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop user training materials and deliver end user training related to the use of the LIMs application.
- Write and review scientific documents in a timely manner. (SOPs, VOPs, and Work Instructions).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Candidates with regulated laboratory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of architecture for the laboratory systems including ELN and LIMS
- Minimum 3 years of experience with validated systems and working within the computer system validation framework
- Strong knowledge of laboratory technology systems development life cycle, computer systems validation, application development, or systems integration
- Ability to prepare clear and concise written documents.
- Ability to communicate issues in a succinct and logical manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate issues in a succinct and logical manner.
