McDonald Bradley Launches New IT Security Offering Focusing On Digital Forensics

McDonald Bradley, Inc., a rapidly-growing information technology solutions provider to the government marketplace, announced that the Company has launched a new service offering in the emerging segment of the IT security market known as Digital Forensics. Digital Forensics, commonly known as Computer Forensics, includes an interconnected, advanced set of electronic data analysis capabilities involving data discovery, forensic media and video analysis, intrusion investigation, counterintelligence forensics, incident pre-planning, and forensic response training.

To head up this new IT specialty, Mr. Dave Lang has joined McDonald Bradley as Director, Digital Forensics for the Advanced Technology & Services Group. He will be responsible for establishing a comprehensive capability for the Company in this new, rapidly expanding technical area and building a team with superior skill sets and expertise.

This area of digital forensics is closely-related to the Company’s core expertise in use throughout its work in the defense and intelligence community, yet will add a new dimension and specialization in the cyber-security area that is growing in both interest and demand.

“Attracting Dave to the McDonald Bradley team is a significant step in our ability to launch and establish our reputation in the evolving IT security arena,” said Kenneth Bartee, President and CEO. “We see a strong call for expertise in digital forensics from many government circles in which we operate, and we anticipate capturing a considerable amount of new business as a result of Dave’s involvement, experience, and leadership.”

Mr. Lang’s experience in this field includes directing teams of technical and forensics experts on projects involving recovery, preservation, and analysis of digital evidence for such federal agencies as the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Justice. During a career in the Air Force spanning more than twenty years, Mr. Lang was responsible for several programs and special assignments involving collecting and analyzing data for numerous counterintelligence, antiterrorism and espionage cases.

Mr. Lang is a noted expert in the field of computer forensics, having spent the past five years at the Defense Computer Forensics Laboratory at General Dynamics (formerly Veridian.). He was the first Chief Examiner appointed in the lab’s history; he held this position for the past year. He is also known for his work as a Professor of Computer Forensics at The George Washington University during the period 2001 – 2003. Mr. Lang is currently completing his Ph.D. in Computing Technology in Education from NOVA Southeastern University where he also earned an Ed.S. Degree in the same discipline.
