Medical Technologist/MLS or MLT
Advocate Health Care is looking for a Medical Technologist/Technician to work in our full service lab. Located in central Illinois, we are offering the right candidate the opportunity to learn and grow in a laboratory with an extensive and equally complex testing platform. Functioning as a Generalist, our Med Techs have the opportunity to solidify a skill set transferable in a multitude of specialties areas.
Medical Technologist/Technician:
Advocate BroMenn Medical Center is seeking a part–time Med Tech for our location in Bloomington-Normal, IL.
Position: Medical Technologist/Technician, Laboratory – Night Shift with rotating weekends

Technologist/Technician, Lab Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing diagnostic testing in the areas of:
- Infectious Disease using Quantitative and Qualitative Assays
- Hematology Testing
- Transfusion Medicine
- Wide variety of Chemistry marker assays
- Opportunity to learn a variety of technical advances in instrumentation, assays and automation.
- Opportunity to participate in technical evaluations, instrument and assay verification/validation, associate training.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrates the ability to apply critical thinking through all testing processes, pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic
- Under the direction of the Laboratory Director identifies and resolves technical problems as it relates to methodology, instrumentation, and the entire testing process
- Ability to multitask while working in fast paced environment
Experience Required:
Must have minimum of an Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree and graduation from an accredited Medical Technology program or an equivalent program, in a science related field, or documented equivalent education and training.
Previous laboratory experience is desirable
