Merck KGaA Connects with Labtronics
GUELPH, Canada December 4, 2003– Merck KGaA of Darmstadt, Germany, is now transparently transferring sample information and data between their HP LIMS and over 80 chromatography instruments running the EZChrom Elite Chromatography Data System, thanks to a new LimsLinkCDS interface implemented recently by Labtronics B.V.
Using LimsLinkCDS, LIMS worklists can be exported directly to EZChrom Elite as formatted sequences. At runtime the analyst simply loads the sequence into EZChrom Elite and is ready to run the samples.
A new menu option has been added to EZChrom Elite that automates reporting to LIMS. Once this item is selected, LimsLinkCDS automatically retrieves results from the CDS database, formats them for HP LIMS and transfers them directly into the LIMS without creating any intermediary files.
Merck KGaA’s Ethical Pharmaceuticals Division has implemented LimsLinkCDS as a “black box” solution. Analysts transfer sample information and data between their LIMS and CDS without having to interact with the interfacing application. All processes are started from either HP LIMS or EZChrom Elite and are carried out in the background.
