New Collect 6.1 Adds New Interface Options, Hotkeys and Enhanced Performance

December 13, 2007 (Guelph Ontario) – Labtronics Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Collect 6.1, the newest version of our powerful software for interfacing and controlling instruments and devices via RS232 or TCP/IP.  Collect is the perfect companion to automate the use of Balances, Scales, pH, DO, Density meters, Spectrophotometers, Force Gages and many more serial output capable instruments.

Collect connects with interface ports such as RS232, parses (extracts) only the required results from the raw data streams, and reports the values directly into Excel®, Files, or any Windows® application such as Internet Explorer or Data Entry windows.

Collect provides its users with a very simple-to-set-up, flexible and easy-to-use program that eliminates the need to manually enter results and automatically adds meta-data such as Time, Date and User Details to the output, as required.

This latest release adds new features and enhancements that expand Collect’s interface options, enhance performance and simplify use – delivering more value for the same low cost.

** Hotkey’s – use any keyboard key to execute an interface command or macro across multiple instruments, simplifying and streamlining run-time use.

** Milliseconds time stamp macro gives new meaning to time sensitive tests.

** Minimize to Tray options for the Collect application window and run-time interface control toolbar.  Perfect for running instrument interfaces as a back-ground data collection service program.

** Modbus communication support (Binary or ASCII) expands Collects versatility to the Industrial and Manufacturing marketplace.  Slave address ID’s can be dynamically inserted into the data request at run time or defined as separate operation commands.

** Significantly enhanced multi-instrument interface support and reporting speeds allow Collect to automate a wider range of tests and increase value for multi-interface applications.

Thousands of customers are already using Collect to integrate many different instruments and devices and to automate their applications across a wide range of industries including QA/QC, R&D, Production lines, Field Research, Clinical, Healthcare, Telecommunications or Plant/Facility monitoring.

With the addition of these new features, Collect continues to be the leading solution for interfacing and automating applications that use instruments and devices with RS232, serial, or Ethernet outputs.
