New Matrix.NET LIMS Increases Laboratory Productivity

Ideal for any laboratory, Autoscribe announces the major new launch of its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS): Matrix.NET. Unveiled at Pittcon, this latest version offers even greater versatility and functionality, and is the first Autoscribe product to be based on the Microsoft¨ .NET framework in anticipation of future customer demands.

Matrix is Autoscribe’s highly intuitive software suite where screen formats, menus, security profiles, calculations and reporting profiles are easily configured around the needs of the end user. With Matrix.NET, access is possible via Windows¨ client or Internet connections, and interfaces are easy to produce using the advanced configuration tools developed by Autoscribe. For effortless training and operational performance, the user screens for both web and client access are identical in appearance.

Alternative styles of user interfaces (such as tree views) are included, together with enhanced configuration tool functionality and other key features. External system integration has been improved using integrated XML import/export methods, whilst programmatic access to Matrix through the Internet is possible with a ‘web service wrapper’ capability.

Matrix.NET is the fifth major revision of this successful LIMS system, but retains the Autoscribe commitment to upgrade compatibility for existing customers. For advanced performance, this version has been developed using the .NET framework which has involved a major rewrite of the system code and will be the basis for all new products at Autoscribe.
