NI Measurement Studio 7.1 Speeds Measurement and Automation Application Development in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
Engineers now can develop measurement and automation applications faster and easier with National Instruments Measurement Studio 7.1, the industry’s most comprehensive suite of class libraries and controls for acquiring, analyzing and presenting data in applications built using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. With the new software, engineers and scientists can take advantage of more than twice as many user interface controls than previous versions, an integrated Instrument Driver .NET Wizard and NI-DAQmx 7.3 support to increase productivity for developing measurement and automation applications.

NI Measurement Studio 7.1 delivers nine measurement-specific, extensible user interface components to help engineers create custom interfaces for their applications. With these new user interface controls, engineers can create professional, graphical user interfaces that look and feel like real-world instrumentation.
This suite of tools also speeds development of instrument control applications with a built-in Instrument Driver .NET Wizard that converts existing VXIplug&play, IVI or legacy instrument drivers to .NET framework-based drivers. This integrated tool protects the time and money invested in existing drivers by instantly configuring and communicating with instruments without rewriting existing instrument drivers for compliance or struggling with integrating non-native drivers.
Measurement Studio 7.1 continues to offer superior data acquisition integration by supporting NI-DAQmx 7.3, the newest version of NI measurement services software that features automatic code generation for creating applications in Microsoft Visual C# .NET, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual C++ .NET. With the NI DAQ Assistant included in NI-DAQmx, engineers can interactively configure, test and generate code prior to writing a single line of code. NI-DAQmx 7.3 also supports NI M Series next-generation data acquisition devices and offers multithreading technology, automatic timing, triggering and synchronization.
NI continues to support development in Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 by shipping ActiveX Visual Basic controls and Visual C++ 6.0 tools with the newest version of Measurement Studio.
