PerkinElmer Makes Several Announcements at PITTCON

At the annual Pittsburgh Conference (PITTCON) in Orlando, Florida, PerkinElmer made several announcements:

Perkinelmer Recognizes Gas Chromatography Innovation At Pittcon 2005

PerkinElmer Inc. today announced that it will showcase various industry-leading products and solutions at PITTCON. Among the solutions being shown are two new gas chromatography (GC) systems: the PerkinElmer-Arnelâ„¢ TOGA (transformer oil and gas analyzer) system, integrated with PerkinElmer’s TurboMatrixâ„¢ Headspace Sampler, for the analysis of transformer oil fault gases; and a system featuring the PerkinElmer TurboMatrix Headspace Trap for the analysis of off-flavor components in beer. Both systems provide enhanced analysis while meeting industry standards and specifications.  In addition, PerkinElmer will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its gas chromatography technology at the show.

Perkinelmer Announces New Headspace-Sampling Gas Chromatography System For Transformer Fault Gas Analysis

PerkinElmer Inc. today announced its new PerkinElmer-Arnel™ TOGA gas chromatography system for the analysis of transformer oil fault gases using headspace sampling. Having served the power industry for years, the PerkinElmer-Arnel TOGA (Transformer Oil and Gas Analyzer) has now been integrated with PerkinElmer’s TurboMatrix™ Headspace Sampler, permitting complete automation for transformer fault gas analysis.

Perkinelmer Turbomatrix Headspace Trap Improves Brewing-Industry

Quality Test For Off-Flavor Impurities

Today, PerkinElmer Inc. unveiled a new gas chromatography (GC) system featuring the TurboMatrixâ„¢ Headspace (HS) Trap for the analysis of off-flavor components in beer. Previously, electron capture detection (ECD) had been the industry choice for low-ppb detection of diacetyl impurities that impart off-flavor in beer. Implementation of the TurboMatrix HS Trap concentrates the analytes for flame ionization detection (FID), thereby eliminating the current requirement for a radioactive source on the GC and its related maintenance.

Perkinelmer Now Offers Remote Access, Web-Based Capabilities With Labworks Lims

PerkinElmer Inc. today announced a new remote access Web-based module called Online Administrator for its LABWORKSâ„¢ ES LIMS customers. Using this new module, customers with browser-based access will now have the ability to securely view test information, results and reports in a timely fashion with the simple click of a mouse.

Perkinelmer Announces Significant Enhancements To Its Elan Icp-Ms Technology Suite

PerkinElmer Inc. today announced significant enhancements to its ELAN® line of ICP-MS instrumentation at PITTCON® 2005, Booth 4728. This announcement illustrates PerkinElmer’s continued leadership in providing excellent solutions for inorganic analysis. PerkinElmer’s ELAN ICP-MS products are developed and sold through a joint venture called PerkinElmer SCIEXâ„¢, which is a partnership between PerkinElmer and MDS Sciex, an international leader in analytical instrumentation and life sciences technologies.

Perkinelmer And Malvern Instruments Collaborate To Offer A Complete Solution For Materials Characterization

Today, PerkinElmer Inc. and Malvern Instruments, a leading supplier of analytical solutions for particle and rheological characterization, today announced a collaborative sales agreement to jointly offer customers in North America a complete solution for their rheology and thermal analysis needs. The agreement brings together best-of-breed products from both companies for customers in the increasingly important area of material characterization. PerkinElmer is the leader in high sensitivity thermal analysis instrumentation and the only company that offers a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) with the ability to perform conventional DSC, modulated temperature DSC and HyperDSCâ„¢. Malvern Instruments provides a full range of rotational and capillary rheometers for rheological testing.
