Praxis Life Sciences Launches Computer System Validation Boot Camp

Praxis Life Sciences announced the launch of a new training program for the life sciences entitled Computer Systems Validation Boot Camp. The course is designed to prepare software quality and information technology professionals to develop and validate computer systems according to FDA regulations.

Validation Boot Camp is an intensive 5 day course that combines lecture and drills to master the regulations and includes hands-on work to create common documents such as requirements specifications, validation plans, and software tests. Students will work in a simulated project environment from design to certification doing the work required to successfully meet the standards for computer systems established by the FDA. At the end of 5 days, students will have lived an entire validation project life cycle.

“Our format basically allows the students to succeed or fail in a safe environment. Too often we see people learning computer system validation on the job where even small mistakes can be very costly,” said Gregg Eagin, Practice Leader for Software Quality and Validation. “By providing a simulated project environment and covering an entire life-cycle in one week, we provide a unique situation to both teach and apply the concepts, and to let students learn from their mistakes.”

The course is appropriate for project managers, software developers, software testers, quality assurance managers and regulatory compliance managers following GMP, GCP, and GLP regulations. Students will experience validation through several project roles – project manager, validation team member, and auditor – to gain an understanding of the content of validation and software quality activities.

Courses are currently scheduled in the Praxis Learning Center in Indianapolis and in Seattle. Additional information and registration is available at www.praxisln.com
