Brief Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), in cooperation with the Food Safety Inspection Service, (FSIS), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has implemented a national Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) surveillance program. APHIS is soliciting offers for collection, packaging, and shipping of brain stem samples from cattle that meet the definition for target high-risk cattle population within the State of Pennsylvania, and storage and disposal of carcasses as specified in the request for proposal ?
