Request for Information for Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission

Please note that no contract will be entered into as a result of this RFI. This effort is for informational and educational purpose only. To be eligible for the RFI, the vendor must register in WSSC’s Centralized Bidder Registration system at http://www.cbr-wssc.com System Requirements: The LIMS shall be compliant to the water and wastewater industry standards. The LIMS shall be able to track the information from samples chain of custody to validation and storage of data. The LIMS shall be capable of entering the field data using mobile devices (Cell Phone, I Pad etc.) using Wi-Fi. The LIMS shall be able to produce the reports, which conforms to the local, national standards used in the LIMS industry. The LIMS shall be highly configurable. The LIMS shall allow interface to the WSSC lab instruments. Other applications within the WSSC are dependent upon the LIMS data. The LIMS shall have built in security features. The LIMS shall have auditing capability to track the data related changes. The LIMS solution shall be scalable. Current Challenges: Defects/enhancement identified by WSSC, not addressed in a timely manner. Upgrade is complete reinstallation of the product, which leads to the complete testing and validation of the entire application. External users have the limited access. Risk related with data not properly validated. Some calculation requires manual adjustment (e.g. dilution factors etc.) Risk related to lack of documentation update. Risk related to lack of support in a timely manner.  Script: The script used previously for selection of the existing LIMS system provided upon request. LabTour: A Lab Tour provided to the vendors upon request so vendor can get familiar to the WSSC’s Lab environment upon request. Preferences: Vendor shall have environmental LIMS industry experience with multiple installations. Vendor shall be able to provide support on a 24X7 basis. Information Requested: Vendors are requested to submit the supporting documentation that their tool meets the above referenced system requirements.
