Request for Information (RFI) – LIMS and LIS System Providers

An Invitation for LIMS and LIS System Providers to Respond to a RFI

A Request for Information (RFI) has been prepared by V.T. Regina and Associates on behalf of the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL).

APHL, through a cooperative agreement with the CDC, has been tasked to develop a set of guidance documents to assist the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC), Department of State, in the implementation of countrywide Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) within developing countries, as part of the HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment initiatives under President’s Emergency Program for AIDS Relief.

APHL and V.T. Regina and Associated intends to produce a  set of guidance documents which will include high level requirements for LIS suitable for deployment in resource-limited settings, a comprehensive inventory of available and appropriate software products, and background information on the concept of high level systems requirements.

If you or your company is interested in being considered for the list of software products included in the guidance documents, please go to www.vtregina.com/aphlrfi.htm and download a copy of the RFI, complete and e-mail it to APHLRFI@vtregina.com by May 16, 2005.  Your completed RFI will enable APHL to determine if your software product meets the basic requirements for PEPFAR laboratory information system needs.
