Foskor is the only vertically integrated phosphate producer in the South Africa … Foskor implemented the current LIMS system in 2006 and named it FOSLIMS due to how its specifications were customized to meet Foskor’s Product specifications at the time. The evolving nature of customer requirements, which leads to changes in product specifications, required the LIMS system to adapt to these changes. The current LIMS system has limitations in accurately specifying the product specifications for sampling and testing purposes, amongst other requirements … An alignment in the development of IT techniques is necessary for this aspect by upgrading FOSLIMS to ensure that laboratory operations are efficient and compliant with the various standards and regulations, as well as meet Foskor’s Product specifications.”
