Request For Proposal – Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
The Department of Administrative Services, State Procurement Office on behalf of the
Department of Human Services Office of the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory
(OSPHL) is soliciting proposals for the purchase, installation, implementation, user and
OIS training, and ongoing license maintenance of a Laboratory Information Management System
(LIMS). The LIMS will provide the state laboratory with a flexible comprehensive
integrated database system that addresses the workflow and communication needs of a public
health laboratory. The LIMS system will replace existing laboratory data management
systems used in operations, virology/immunology, microbiology, and newborn screening. It
will also add new functionalities that are required to fulfill the public health laboratory
mission of disease control and prevention, outbreak investigation, emergency preparedness,
and terrorism response.
